Welcome to No Skips. Summer signs off properly this weekend. Waterworks goes two days for the first time, MssingNo and Zomby share a Friday at Phonox, and Mount Kimbie heads a deep fabric bill on Saturday. Here's a glimpse of what's on this week and what's ahead.
THIS WEEK
Waterworks Extended
🗓 SATURDAY–SUNDAY | 📍 The Cause
🎟 Tickets
Waterworks goes two days for the first time this year, with the festival at Gunnersbury Park and the extended sessions running at The Cause. Saturday leans house and techno, Sunday is given over to sound system music. Entry times are strictly allocated, so read your ticket before you plan the day.
fabric: Mount Kimbie, Yu Su, Tijana T, Galcher Lustwerk, DJ Python, Mor Elian
🗓 SATURDAY | 📍 fabric
🎟 Tickets
Doors 11pm through to 7am. Mount Kimbie top a bill built on left of centre house and electronic songwriting, with DJ Python and Galcher Lustwerk filling out the rooms. Techno with texture rather than force.
MssingNo and Zomby
🗓 FRIDAY | 📍 Phonox
🎟 Tickets
Two producers who have spent a decade making the rest of UK bass sound conventional. MssingNo and Zomby in a 550 capacity room with the booth at floor height and no phones out. Rare billing, small space.
SNTS
🗓 FRIDAY | 📍 E1
🎟 Tickets
The anonymous end of European techno, in a Wapping warehouse built for exactly this. SNTS plays dark and relentless and does not let up. The heavier option if Phonox is too considered.
WHAT'S ON: SKREAM & BENGA
Spotify DIA/LOG w/ Skream & Benga
🗓 Sat, 17 Oct | 📍 Drumsheds
🎟 Tickets
The first edition of Spotify and Drumsheds' new DIA/LOG series, with Skream & Benga headlining across three rooms. Plastician, Sir Spyro, D Double E, LTJ Bukem, SBTRKT, Special Request, MJ Cole and Flava D join them. General sale opened on 2 September. Book now, not the week before.
AVA London 2026
🗓 Thu 24 to Sat 26 Sep | 📍 Various venues
🎟 Tickets
Moby, Oklou, The Avalanches and Fabio & Grooverider lead a three day conference and club programme that has moved from spring to autumn for the first time. Friday splits between an RA25 night at Outernet with Blawan and Mala, and an AVA takeover of FOLD with Optimo and Holly Lester. Two weeks out and moving.
THE BOOTH
Amelie Lens and Angèle, "run"
(EXHALE, from AURA, out 4 September)
Amelie Lens spent a decade on singles, EPs and sets before making an album. AURA landed on Friday and Angèle is the only guest across its eleven tracks, a Belgian pop voice over rapid-fire percussion and acid bass. They played it live once before it came out, when Angèle walked on during Lens' set at Dour in July. First time Lens has ever brought a vocalist up with her.
